parī maiṁ, kāla lāla ke jāla
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A sakhī says to her intimate friend, “Oh sakhi! I was caught in the snare of Shyāmasundara’s love, yesterday. I had gone to the bank of the river Yamunā with my friends. There, I met that Prankster. Although I saw Him very little and that too stealthily through my veil, yet when He played a melodious tune in His flute, I immediately lost all consciousness.” Telling her what happened afterwards, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that the gopī, along with her earthen pot, fell on the ground, completely overwhelmed with love.
