banata nahiṁ, bhanata anata yaha bāta

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

(A sakhī talks to her intimate friend about her sweet meeting with beloved Shyāmasundara) Oh sakhi! This matter of the Beloved’s sweet encounter is hard to talk about anywhere. Yesterday, I was bathing in the river Yamunā when all of a sudden Shyāmasundara came right there. Stretching the bow-string of His brows, He shot such an arrow of love-laden look that seeing it, I immediately fell in the water of the river Yamunā sighing ‘oh!’ exactly as a leaf falls from a tree. Seeing this, He ran and lifted me in embraced position, blessing me with His desired touch. The bliss of that divine touch is indescribable.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Now I am yearning for that same darshana and touch day and night.”
