Nikunj Madhuri · Pad 15

paro sakhi, jhūlana meṁ jhagaro

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Oh sakhi! Today, at the time of swinging, there started a sudden quarrel between Shrī Rādhā and Kṛishṇa. When the jewelled sandalwood swing was hung from a branch of the Kadamba tree and all the preparations were completed, Lalitā approached the Divine Couple and asked Them to kindly grace the swing. Both of them came near the swing, but then, Shyāmasundara said, “Today, I will sit on the swing only if Kishorī Jī swings Me, otherwise I will remain standing.” And an exactly similar statement was made by Shrī Rādhā declaring proudly that She will swing only when Shyāmasundara gives pushes to the swing. Then, in order to bring an end to the quarrel, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī said to Shyāmasundara, “Why are You starting a new thing today? You should fulfil the desire of Kishorī Jī by giving pushes to the swing when She sits on it, as always.”
