Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A gopī says, “Today, I sacrificed my ‘everything’ on Kishorī Jī who was adorned with all sixteen (traditional) adornments. What a bewitching sight it was! Kishorī Jī was seated on Her throne and Shyāmasundara was gently massaging Her feet, placing them in His lap. Brahmā, Vishnu and Shaṅkara were all hailing the glories of Shrī Vṛishabhānunandinī (the daughter of Vṛishabhānu) in unison. The splendour of that scene was beyond comparison and the nectar of Her transcendental beauty was unique. The sixteen adornments are as follows: First of all, Kishorī Jī bathed in water, perfumed with various fragrances. After Her bath, She clad Herself in blue-coloured upper and lower garments with a chunarī on Her head. Then Golokeshwarī Shrī Rādhā Rānī anointed Herself with scented oils and the paste of aragajā. After that, She filled Her hair-parting with sindūra and put a crescent-shaped red vermillion mark on Her forehead. Next, She applied collyrium and surmā in Her naturally black eyes, and a special red colour on Her lips and cheeks. Even Her teeth had become red from chewing the betel-leaf. There is a beauty mark on Her chin and She had applied fragrant perfume on various parts of Her body. Also, every part of Her body was covered with appropriate ornaments. She had applied henna on Her hands and mihāvara on Her feet. Thus, She was adorned with all sixteen embellishments.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “He, who is blessed with Shrī Kishorī Jī’s grace, alone can taste the nectar of this transcendental and blissful scene.”
