āju rasa, barasata kuñjana māhiṁ
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Today, a unique bliss is raining in the groves. Beholding the beauty of the beautiful bowers, even Brahmā’s craftsmanship is humiliated. Although the swing has been hung from a branch of the Kadamba tree, yet neither of our beloved Lords, Shrī Rādhā and Kṛishṇa is ready to grace the swing. Shyāmasundara says to Shrī Rādhā, “Oh Tender One! You sit on the swing, and I will swing You.” Kishorī Jī says, “Oh Tender limbed! You swing and I will give pushes to the swing.” Thus neither of Them swings Himself (or Herself) nor makes the other swing. All the sakhīs tried to make Them understand in various ways but to no avail. Then, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī said to the Divine Lords with great love, “Neither of You will be allowed either to swing alone or to make the other one swing. Instead, both of You sit on the swing together and I will give pushes to it.”
