Nikunj Madhuri · Pad 5
āju lakhu, mañju nikuñja-bahāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh sakhi! Look at the affluence of the beautiful bowers today. What a bewitching sight of the Divine Couple’s swinging! Blessed are the eyes which have seen it! Today, Shyāmasundara has adorned Himself as Kishorī Jī and Kishorī Jī has embellished Herself as Shyāmasundara. When the sakhīs saw Them sitting on the swing from behind, they were astonished as to why their Lords were sitting in the reverse order today. In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, when they saw Them from the front, they burst into laughter and started shouting with great joy, ‘Balihārī hai, Balihārī hai’ i.e. ‘We sacrifice ourselves repeatedly on this heart-robbing sight.’
