hod̤a hai, āju yugala sarakāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Today, a competition is going on between Rādhā and Kṛishṇa pertaining to singing. Both of Them claimed, “My singing is the best and My augmentations (ālāpas) are the sweetest.” Vishākhā came along with thousands of sakhīs for judgement and both the Divine Lords started singing the raga Gaurī elaborately along with beautiful augmentations to the best of Their ability. On the completion of the singing, Vishākhā gave the judgement, “Although both of You sing equally good, yet” in the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “Kishorī Jī’s voice sounds sweeter.”
