Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Kishorī Jī addresses Shyāmasundara, who has disguised Himself as a mālinī (flower-selling maid), “Oh Mālinī! Put Your basket of flowers down and tell me what Your name is; whose daughter You are and who Your husband is?” The mālinī replied, “My name is Sāṁvarī mālina, and I have no father or husband.” Kishorī Jī then said, “Unveiling Yourself a little, look towards Me.” When the mālinī did not do so, Kishorī Jī, presuming the mālinī to be bashful, Herself raised the veil. No sooner was the veil lifted, than Their eyes met and the mālinī oblivious of Herself, started saying, “Hā Rādhe! Hā Vṛishabhānudulārī!” Kishorī Jī also uttered, “Hā Nandakumāra! Hā My Beloved!” At this, Lalitā got suspicious. So, on the pretext of embracing the mālinī, she touched Her breast and discovered the truth. Then she proclaimed to other sakhīs, “Friends! This mālinī is none else but the famous cheat, Shyāmasundara. The whole thing is spoiled! Kishorī Jī has been deceived!” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī then said to the sakhīs, “All of us should run away, otherwise this trickster will deceive us as well.” Thus, Shrī Rādhā and Kṛishṇa got desired solitude.
