Yugal Madhuri · Pad 20
hamāre māī, gaura shyāma dui āṁkhī
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mother! Rādhā and Kṛishṇa alone are my two eyes. Shrī Rādhikā Jī is like the light of my eyes and Shyāmasundara is like the pupils. I have preserved Them with great care, covering Them with my eye-lids. It is very difficult for me to live without Them even for a fraction of a moment. The tears flowing continuously from my eyes are a witness to it. This is the principle of the rasikas that association without separation provides little happiness. He alone, who has tasted this poisoned-nectar of love, knows this secret. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “After tasting it even once, he becomes infatuated forever.”
