sakhī! ye saba ke saba baurāye

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

A gopī says to her friend, “Oh sakhi! See, all these have gone mad. Just look, thinking Kishorī Jī’s face to be a real lotus, the bumblebees are flying around it. Thinking Kishorī Jī’s lips to be the red fruit of kuṁdarū, the parrots have surrounded Kishorī Jī as if to taste that fruit, and the groups of peacocks are also coming towards Her to eat Kishorī Jī’s braid, thinking it to be a living snake. Thinking Kishorī Jī’s voice to be the music of the flute, the herd of deer is rushing towards Her, being enchanted by it.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “In this way, bumblebees, parrots, peacocks and deer, all have been deluded by seeing Kishorī Jī.”
