Shri Radha Madhuri · Pad 48
shrī shyāmājū ko, aiso sarala subhāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
The nature of Kishorī Jī, who eternally enacts ever-new līlās in the bowers of Braja, is as simple as I have neither seen nor heard anywhere. This I am announcing with an oath. The light of whose foot-nails is meditated upon as formless God by Bhagwan Shaṅkara in his nirvikalpa trance, in the divine līlās of that same Kishorī Jī, even the uncivilized maidens of Braja eternally participate because of Kishorī Jī’s infinite kindness. The most glaring proof of Her endless mercy is that upon hearing the pathetic lamentation of a soul who seeks Her shelter, She leaves even beloved Shyāmasundara and rushes to that individual soul at once. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, to what extent can I say? It is only because of having taken Kishorī Jī’s shelter that Shyāmasundara has been entitled as ‘the refuge of orphans’.
