Shri Radha Madhuri · Pad 13

kuṁvari kī, chitavani kī balihāra

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

We sacrifice ourselves on Kishorī Jī’s love-laden looks. It seems as if nectar, poison and wine have personified themselves as the white, the pupils and the redness of Her eyes respectively. Seeing the ogles of Kishorī Jī’s mischievous eyes, Shyāmasundara who is naughtier than veritable naughtiness forgets His naughtiness. Although Kishorī Jī also glances at Her devotees with the eyes of a queen, a swāminī, a friend and a daughter according as they deserve, yet when She casts the love-laden glance of a ladylove at Her beloved, Shyāmasundara, then beloved Shyāmasundara, even after being omnipotent, becomes unable to bear that bliss. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh Kishorī Jī! I am Your friend (sakhī), therefore kindly gratify me by looking at me with the eyes of a friend at least.”
