Shri Krishna Madhuri · Pad 54
hamāro, sāṁcho mīta gopāla
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Shrī Kṛishṇa alone is our real beloved. The glittering gems studded in the crown of gold beautified on His head are looking like many new moons of different colours shining in the sky. In the crown is tucked a peacock-feather, which is swaying to and fro, repeatedly bending on each side in a beautiful manner, following the intoxicating gait of Shyāmasundara which is like that of an elephant. His curly locks of hair are extremely lovely which present the sight of innumerable female snakes dangling down at one time. His earrings are mischievously moving on His charming chubby cheeks. His eyes are very big and full of mischief. His eyebrows are infinitely charming. The besara beautified in His nose and the tilaka of saffron applied on His forehead are looking excessively enthralling. On one of His shoulders is a lathi and on the other, is a black blanket. He is playing on His flute, resting one of His arms on the lathi. Seeing His laugh, His side-long looks of love and His swan-like gait, even eternally liberated men of wisdom, Sanaka etc. get inebriated with love. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “The Lord of such infinite beauty, Shyāmasundara, who stands beautifully curving His body at neck, waist and legs, is playing with the cowherd boys of Braja.”
