sakhī! asa rasa mohana musakāna

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Oh sakhi! There is such bliss in Nandalāla’s gentle smile that entranced by it, Bhagwan Shaṅkara forgets his trance-meditation. After having seen it once, the sakhīs yearn to see it time after time, never getting contented. At every smile, they experience that the nectarean bliss of this smile was absent in previously seen smiles. They also state that the Creator is inexpert in the art of creation; He should have made eyes in every fibre of one’s being for seeing beloved Shyāmasundara. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh sakhi! This is your illusion. Even after having eyes in every fibre of your being, you cannot be contented with the sweetness of the smile, which is full of endless bliss. Its example is Indra, the king of heaven, who possesses eyes all over his body.”
