Shri Krishna Madhuri · Pad 6

kānha kī jādū bharī musakāna

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

The smile of Shyāmasundara is full of magic! Whosoever sees that sweet smile forgets all worldly decorum as well as the Vedic and ancestral traditions. In order to give bliss to those deserving souls who could not behold His sweet smile, He plays on His flute. Furthermore, even those who neither saw His captivating smile nor heard the enchanting music of His flute, long to see Him, being attracted to Him by listening to His attributes. What more could be said, even the self-realized souls, who are oblivious of even their body, senses etc., give up their meditation even of the stage of trance on the Impersonal (formless) God, and become engrossed in the divine love-bliss of the Personal God, Shrī Kṛishṇa forever. But, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī lovingly says, “I challenge Shyāmasundara that He cannot captivate my mind. If He can, then, He should prove it practically.”
