Shri Radha Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 11
kuṁvari rahiṁ, kīrati soṁ birujhāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Little Kishorī Jī is pestering Mother Kīrti for something. She is fighting with the mother, shaking her and voicing ‘Ūṁ Ūṁ’. Mother Kīrti is feeling inebriated with bliss at this unique behaviour of her daughter. Kishorī Jī stamps Her feet with a child’s pride, hangs on to the mother’s neck and grumbles something, drooping Her face down. In order to have a glimpse of this sweetness of Kishorī Jī’s childhood sullenness, Bhagwan Shaṅkara forgets his trance. However, the Mother asked, “Oh Lālī! What’s the matter?” Kishorī Jī lispingly said in the reply, “Oh Mother! When will My braid become ankle-long like yours?” The Mother answered, “Oh Lālī! You are only five years old right now. When You reach my age, even Your braid will become as long as mine”. Kishorī Jī said, “Oh Mother! Then why don’t you make Me big right now?” The Mother said, “Oh Lālī! If I make You big right now, whom will I play with holding into my lap?” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that hearing this, Kishorī Jī was extremely happy and embraced Her Mother shrieking with intense joy.
