Shri Krishna Bal Leela Madhuri · Pad 70
ḍagara mahaṁ, jhagari laṁgara kara rāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A gopī, tired of Shrī Kṛishṇa’s pranks, says to another gopī, “Oh friend! That naughty Shyāmasundara stops me on the way and behaves unbecomingly with me. Breaking my earthen pot as well as my pearl chains and necklaces, He also takes the chunarī off my head and throws it away. Oh friend! He is as naughty as He is young. All the maidens of Braja have been defeated by Him. He throws side-long looks of love on me, saying, ‘You are my beloved.’ Like a flirt, He unhesitatingly asks me to go with Him to the groves.” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the gopī says, “Oh friend! Although I do not go with Him because of fearing the worldly gossip, the fact is that my heart longs to do so.”
