Dainya Madhuri · Pad 97

hamārī, suna lo nandakishora!

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Oh Shyāmasundara! Listen to even our prayer a little. Whatever we do in the spiritual field is stolen in a moment by the great thieves – lust, etc. When I desire for the divine love, then worldly desires come and steal my heart away. When I decide that henceforth I will attach my mind to Your lotus-feet alone, then my wife, son etc. pull me towards themselves. When I think I am Your servant, then vanity overtakes me, i.e. hypocrisy mixes poison in the nectar. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī pleads, “Now, I am defeated in every way. Therefore, make me Your own forcibly by looking at me with Your benevolent eyes.”
