shyāma hai jhūṭho tumharo nāma
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh Shyāmasundara! All Your names are meaningless. One name of Yours is the purifier of sinners (Patita-pāvana) but still You did not purify me. I know You will unabashedly answer that You are completely contented as has been declared in the Vedas. But how will You bear the ill-fame of Your devotees? Because it is they themselves who call You ‘Purifier of sinners’. We do not ask for worldly opulence or liberation. We wish only for a place at Your lotus-feet. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, what lack will it effect in Your unlimited storage? All I am asking for is a favourable look.
