bera bhai ṭerata nandakumāra!

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

A devotee complains to his Lord, “Oh Nandakumāra! You are said to be the protector of fallen souls, and yet You are not paying any attention to this sinner who has been crying and calling out to You for so long at Your door! The saints call You ‘the Deliverer of the downtrodden’ and yet You are delaying in justifying the validity of this name to me. Oh Shyāmasundara! Have You assumed Your form of Mahāvishṇu and gone to sleep in the milky ocean even before the final dissolution? Or is it so that You have put oil in Your ears, therefore You are unable to hear the cry of my heart? Or could it be that Your supply of mercy is exhausted?” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī remarks, “The above-mentioned arguments cannot be even imagined about Shyāmasundara. Yes, it may be that Kishorī Jī has done māna and Shyāmasundara is probably busy in appeasing Her in the groves of Braja.”
