Dainya Madhuri · Pad 55
nātha! jani aba mo kahaṁ bahakāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh Lord! Don’t inveigle me by worthless things. Just as a mother coaxes her little child by giving him toys and herself goes to do household chores, similarly You also cajoled me by giving me various toys such as wife, husband etc. In addition to this, there is one surprise that so far as a worldly mother is concerned, she, after finishing her household work, places the child onto her lap herself, and feeds and caresses him. But You, even after having nothing to do, did not embrace me, Your son, to Your heart even once. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, now even I have decided to become obstinate and cry heartrendingly like a child, throwing away all toys by the advice of rasikas.
