Dainya Madhuri · Pad 6
aho hari! aba hauṁ gayoṁ aghāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh Lord! I am now completely satiated with the world. Being born in eighty-four lakh forms of life as movable and immovable creatures since time immemorial, I have unnecessarily gone through terrible sufferings, due to my ignorance. But now I will no more listen to the whimsical dictates of my mind, because the saints have revealed this touching secret that we can never have any rest and peace where we are wandering. Just as a bird sitting on a ship cannot fly for long in the sky, it has to take refuge in the ship ultimately, in the same way, the soul who has taken refuge in the ship of Your lotus-feet cannot be at peace anywhere else even for one moment. Just as the thirst of a deer cannot be quenched even in the least by drinking the illusory water in the desert, in the same way, in the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, unless and until one drinks the pure divine love-bliss, he cannot experience any peace at all by drinking the mirage-water of the material objects.
