hama bhūkhe braja kī gārī ke

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Bhagwan Kṛishṇa says, “I am hungry for the sweet abuses of Braja. Whenever I listen to the abuse – dārī ke, filled with intense love, I feel extremely inebriated with joy, sacrificing on it even the bliss of My abode - Baikuṇṭha. I do not like even in the least, the reverential praises offered to Me by the hymns of all the four Vedas, but I feel beside Myself with joy when I hear the maidens of Braja lovingly declare Me to be a thief or a flirt. The worship of My feet by My own wife Mahālakshmī, does not give Me joy, but”, in the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, “I consider Myself most fortunate in massaging the lotus-feet of the darling daughter of King Vṛishabhānu, Shrī Rādhā.”
