suno saba eka anasunī bāta
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A seer of the ultimate truth says, “Listen to an amazing thing. According to the Shāstras, the Vedas and saints, one attains Shyāmasundara’s grace by practising devotion but I say that Shyāmasundara bestows His grace without practising any means. So long as a newborn baby does nothing i.e. remains completely surrendered to its mother, the mother does everything. When the baby starts doing a little, the mother is also seen doing a little. When the child starts doing everything, the mother does nothing. Having faith in what has just been said, surrender yourself completely to Shyāmasundara’s lotus-feet.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that Shyāmasundara bears the whole responsibility of such a completely surrendered soul forever.
