Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 117
suno mana! eka anokhī bāta
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mind! Listen to an unprecedented word. Do not renounce desire, anger, egotism and greed; but rather implicitly rely on them day and night. The desire must be only this, ‘When will I meet my beloved Shyāmasundara?’ Anger should be in this form, ‘Alas! This precious human life is gradually coming to an end and I have not attained Shyāmasundara as yet.’ ‘I am the servant of Shrī Kṛishṇa, and He is my Lord’, this must be the nature of pride. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that greed ought to take this form, ‘May my selfless love in the lotus-feet of Shyāmasundara regarding Him as my Beloved increase each and every moment.’
