Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 115

sune hama samadarshī bhagawāna

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Oh God! I have heard that You are impartial, looking at all with an equal eye, but what I see is different. Wherever you find any humble and destitute soul, devoid of all means, You steal away his body, mind, soul and everything, but the individual souls who are full of egotism are not amenable to Your authority. Even in the world, people, who are especially clever, deceive innocent people in the aforesaid way like You do. Wise man can think over this and raise an objection against Your law of impartiality. Shower Your grace on egoistic people. It is then that You will be addressed as the reservoir of grace. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī humbly adds, “What will happen to me, please also consider this, because I am the storehouse of egotism.” The implication is that Your impartiality should be taken into consideration only when You deceive me as well.
