Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 113

saba jhūṭho jaga vyavahāra re

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Oh mind! The whole behaviour of this world is false and deceptive. So long as one possesses beautiful and healthy body, mind, wealth and assistants, the world cares for him; but on being deprived of these things, even his own family abandons him. So long as their selfish ends continue to be fulfilled through someone, worldly people establish a thousand relations with him, but no sooner does it get otherwise than even his friends stop being friendly to him anymore. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Therefore, oh mind!, abandoning all hopes from the world, surrender yourself entirely to Shyāmasundara and spend each and every moment in practising devotion to Him.”
