sakhī! sunu, prema nema dou bhāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh sakhi! Listen. Love and the rule of the decorum of this world and the world beyond are related to each other. Although, according to some, love is greater whereas according to others, the rule of worldly and Vedic decorum is greater, but if one adopts the rule related with love, all fight will come to an end. The rule of Shyāmasundara’s love is the best because that alone can solve the problem of the attainment of supreme happiness. Therefore, that alone ought to be adopted. If one does not accept the rule of love due to impertinence, one can never attain love by any means whatsoever. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “By choosing only the rule of religious conduct devoid of Shyāmasundara’s love, one can attain only heaven and that is absolutely unacceptable because of being transient.”
