sakhī! mana marama na jāne koya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A gopī says to her friend, “Oh friend! Nobody knows the secrets of my heart. The more it is drenched in the colour of Shyāmasundara, the brighter it becomes. I am at a total loss in understanding as to who is there in my heart, whether it is Shyāmasundara or my life (prana), or both of them. Sometimes I start crying seeing my Beloved with me and sometimes I cry, thinking that He is far from me. Sometimes, I experience separation even while meeting Shyāmasundara. Sakhi! Believe me, what I am telling you is absolutely true.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “What can I say about this secret of love when even the great knowledge of the men of wisdom is unable to comprehend it?”
