Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 97
lage nahiṁ, sage tora bhagawāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A realized soul says to an individual soul, “Your actual relationship is not with that form of God who is endowed with six types of opulence because that is devoid of the nectar of sweetness. You are the servant of only Shyāmasundara, therefore regard Him alone as your Lord. You are the eternal friend of Shyāmasundara alone, so accept Him alone as your friend. You are like Shyāmasundara’s mother and father; therefore consider Him alone as your son. Again, you are the ladylove of the Beloved of Braja-maidens; hence envisage only Him as your Beloved. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that the afore-mentioned four relationships alone are full of excessive sweetness. The fifth, shāntabhāva or the quiet mood, which means Shyāmasundara is the king and I am the subject, is not dear to rasikas because of being related with majesty.
