lagati sakhi aba sasurāri piyāri
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh friend! Now it is only the home of my in-laws which has attraction for me. Till now, because of being under māyā, I was ignorant about my Beloved, but now rasikas have told me that my Beloved is only Shyāmasundara who captivates even Kāmadeva. Now wife, husband, mother etc. all (worldly relations) appear to me like a play of dolls. The mind now remains engrossed only in Shyāmasundara’s names, forms, līlās, attributes, abode and entourage (saints). Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī comments with love-laden jealously, “She alone is a true bride who is loved by her beloved. You have been blessed with Shyāmasundara’s grace because of believing in the words of rasikas. Even we will be blessed one day.”
