lakhyo jaga ika acharaja kī bāta
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Listen to a strange thing about this world. The soul wants to climb up the sky by holding the drops of the showering clouds, i.e. it wants to understand God who is beyond mind and intellect through these very means. This is a universal fact that even Brahmā, Vishnu and Shaṅkara, the governors of this universe, cannot understand the divine secrets of God on the strength of their intellect. And unless you understand God, it is impossible to have strong unwavering faith in Him; without the faith being strengthened, it is impossible to have pure love for Him; and without that love, the heart of beloved Kṛishṇa cannot be melted. When I think about all this, I grow very restless. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Therefore, abandoning the effort of the intellect, I am continuously waiting for my beloved Kṛishṇa’s grace alone.”
