Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 83
yaha māyā ṭhaginī jāna re!
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mind! Realize this māyā to be a great deceiver. Even Brahmā, Vishnu and Shaṅkara are afraid of it. Although it is an insentient power of God, māyā is extremely powerful. Even such great sages as Vishwāmitra and Parāshara were entrapped by it. Oh mind! This māyā is not any imagination; instead, it is a power and a maidservant of God. Without the grace of God, it is impossible to get rid of it even after practising crores of means. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “But that grace of God can be attained only if you practise ceaseless devotion to Him with a sincere heart.”
