brahma! tuma kehi bala para itarāta
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A devotee lovingly taunts God and says, “Oh Brahma (God)! On what strength are you boasting so much? If you forgive my offence, I want to say something. Please listen to it carefully. You are declared by the Vedas to be devoid of attributes, but we are famous as possessing all the attributes in the whole world. You are without mind and intellect and also unable to do anything (a non-doer), but we possess both mind and intellect and can do everything. You are one and also formless, but we are innumerable and possess form. We also have name and place, but You have neither of them. Even if You claim to be full of attributes and Personal (i.e. endowed with a form) still You are no better than us. We are full of vices therefore we always look for vices in others, but You are afraid of doing so. Thus, firstly, this is Kaliyuga (the Dark Age); secondly, we are innumerable souls belonging to the same party; thirdly, we are pundit; and fourthly, we are also intoxicated with extreme vanity.” Therefore, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh Brother Brahma! Please do not feel bad about what I have said.”
