Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 49
jīva jad̤a, de jad̤atā aba chhod̤a
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh senseless soul! Renounce your stupidity now. You complain ‘What can I do? My mind does not listen; it runs towards material objects riding on the horses of senses,’ but I say that just as mind has eternal control over senses, likewise mind too is in the eternal control of intellect. Isn’t it? Therefore, catching the rein of mind through the charioteer in the form of intellect, divert these horses in the direction of God. If you say that even intellect is ignorant because of being material, then listen to its remedy. Fasten your intellect with the intellect of saints and then rule over the mind through that intellect. Thus your body, senses, mind, intellect and soul will all reach the city of love. But there is one condition. Before doing all this, make your mind neutral from the world by repeatedly pondering over transience of the world. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that thus you will be eternally united with the Supreme beloved, Shyāmasundara in the city of love and will become gratified forever. Win this race as soon as you can.
