are mana! suna ika aṭapaṭa bāta
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh my mind! Listen to a strange thing. Although it sounds amazing, nevertheless it is true that even men with eyes cannot see; and as such, there is no difference between these people and the people who are blind. Just as an elephant cannot eat with his tusks, they are merely for show, in the same way, those ascetics and yogis who try to seek Bhagwan Kṛishṇa through their own means fail to reach their goal even after crores of kalpas. In the end, all they declare about Him is ‘Alakha alakha’, i.e. He cannot be seen, He cannot be seen. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Just as in the world, people, although having good eyes, cannot see without proper light in the night, similarly one cannot attain God through self-efforts, if one is not blessed with divine grace.”
