Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 19
are mana! yaha jīvana dina chāra
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mind! This human body has been given to you only for a few days. Just as there comes the dark night of Kṛishṇa paksha after the beautiful moon-light of Shukla paksha, in the same way, there will be left nothing but repentance once this human body is snatched away from you. Oh foolish mind! You do not know the deceitful behaviour of the worldly people. You think that you are the wisest of all but actually it is not so. Everybody thinks about himself in the same fashion as you do. All people in this world have fully equipped themselves to deceive one another. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh mind! Abandon the three types of material desires – son, wealth and wife (or husband) and ceaselessly practise devotion to Shyāmasundara.”
