Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 15
are mana! manamohana mana lāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mind! Attach yourself to the captivator of the mind, Shyāmasundara! Listen with open ears the extremely simple device for this. Observe, when an alien young man molests a young maiden, she becomes wild with rage but as soon as she hears from her friend that she has been betrothed to this same young man, that same vexation gives her extreme joy. Similarly, so far you loved your physical relatives thinking them to be the dear ones of the soul; now, rasikas have mercifully revealed this secret that you are not the body; therefore your one and only beloved is Shyāmasundara. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that if you believe in these words of the rasikas, your love for the world will be diverted to Shyāmasundara immediately and thus, your suhāga will become immortal.
