Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 10
are mana! ubhaya rūpa jaga jāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mind! This world is of two types – gross and subtle. Material objects related to word, taste, touch etc. are known as the gross world and the avidity for these objects in the heart is the subtle world. By leaving the gross world, the subtle world does not come to an end, i.e. mere renunciation of worldly objects does not destroy desires, but if one renounces desires, one remains no more conscious of the gross world. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “For attaining this stage, practise devotion to Shyāmasundara continuously.”
