Siddhanta Madhuri · Pad 8
are mana! asa tṛishṇā balawāna
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
Oh mind! So strong is this ‘Desire’ that the plight of even the greatest kings on this earth, who had conquered the whole earth, was no better than that of a beggar. What to say more, this avidity does not leave even Indra, who is considered the king of all gods. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh mind! The Vedas and Purāṇas are declaring in their trumpet-voice that till you continuously meditate on Shyāmasundara, you will not be able to attain happiness.”
