baidavā anārī, nārī dhara bharamāve re

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Thinking their lovelorn daughter to be suffering from some physical ailment, a gopī’s parents are showing her to an Ayurvedic doctor. Realizing that physician to be having little knowledge, the lovelorn gopī says to her friend, Oh sakhi! That physician is foolish. He holds my pulse and gets confused. Go and tell that physician that he still needs to study because he suggests physical medicines, not recognising my disease of love. He compels me to drink various herbal medicines that have nothing to do with my illness. Therefore, my disease continues to get worse and worse, day-by-day, moment-by-moment. Oh sakhi! At least you tell me, how should I live without beloved Shyāmasundara? Where should I go? How can I remain alive, going through this unendurable pain? And how can I even die (when the hope of seeing the Beloved again does not let me do so)? Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says to the languishing gopī, “Oh sakhi! You are definitely suffering from the disease of beloved Shyāmasundara’s separation; its therapist lives in Gokula who is none other than Kānha or Shyāmasundara Himself and the only remedy for this disease is His sweet union.”
