Rasiya Madhuri · Pad 14
yā braja kī, rīti nirālī hai
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A rasika says, “Strange are the ways of this divine Braja. Mother Yashodā has given birth to such a son who is extraordinarily unique from every point of view. The whole world believes in the Vedas and the Purāṇas, but here, everyone behaves in a way contrary to worldly and Vedic laws. What to say, even the Supreme Brahma, Shyāmasundara, who is worshipped by the Vedas, is rebuked by illiterate village women. Indra, the king of gods, is also insulted in this Braja by cowherd boys, clapping their hands.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “The only treasure of these residents of Braja is the divine couple, Shrī Rādhā-Kṛishṇa. Therefore, the renunciation of the worldly and Vedic decorum for them is supremely recommendable.”
