aiso prema baḍhyo brajavāsina, jāmeṁ brahma rahyo bharamāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
The love of the residents of Braja is so supreme that even the Supreme Lord is overwhelmed by it. The Supreme God Shyāmasundara, who does not go to accept even the food offered to Him in duly performed sacrifices where His presence is invoked with Vedic hymns recited by great scholars, eats the curd of the maidens of Braja by stealing in spite of being insulted by them. Heavenly gods always glorify that Supreme Brahma by singing His innumerable attributes, but that gives Him no joy at all. That same Supreme Brahma feels beside Himself with joy in listening to the rebukes of those maidens of Braja. A yogi meditates on Paramātmā, a gyānī remains lost in meditating on Brahma but the Supreme Lord does not speak even a single word to any of them, whereas He happily prattles with the calves of those maidens of Braja. The greatest paramahansas like Shukadeva, Sanaka etc. meditate on that Supreme God and invoke Him in their meditation but He feels as if ashamed to go there but, says Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, that same Supreme Lord Shyāmasundara goes to Kishorī Jī uninvited and serves Her lotus-feet.
