sakhī! hama, ina pāṁchana te hāre
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A virahiṇī says to her friend, “Oh friend! I have been defeated by all these five sense-organs. The eyes shed continuous streams of tears in order to see the lotus-eyed Shyāmasundara. The tongue always calls the Beloved for tasting the real bliss of His sweet name, Shyāma. The nose exhales long breaths as if only for smelling the divine perfume of the Beloved’s divine body, and the ears are also stubbornly waiting to hear the infinitely sweet words of the Beloved. My whole being manifests the ecstatic symptoms – horripilation, perspiration, etc. for experiencing the sweet touch of the Beloved.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Now, when all these five sense-organs have become united, who will listen to me? In Kaliyuga, only the opinion of the majority is counted for.”
