sakhī! sunu, asa mama ura paratīti

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

(The gopīs are talking to one another after Shyāmasundara’s going away to Mathurā.) One sakhī says, “Oh sakhi! I have full faith that the professor of love Shyāmasundara will surely come back. How can He forget the selfless love of the residents of Braja? How can He violate the sacred mode of love by forgetting those maidens frolicking with whom He used to spend the whole night like a moment?” In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī, the sakhī adds, “Well, He can do whatever He likes, but I am afraid lest someone considers Him to be heartless from His not coming back to Braja.”
