sakhī! toya, yoga, viyoga ki doya?
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
A sakhī asks a virahiṇī, “Are you a yoginī, practising the eight branches of yoga or a viyoginī (the one who is separated from her Beloved) or both, because the symptoms which are found both in yoginī and viyoginī, are obvious in you? You have completely renounced eating and drinking, remain awake throughout the night, and all worldly relations and family members look like enemies to you. You keep on looking at the front part of your nose and are completely unconscious of your body. Not speaking with anybody at all, you sit like a statue, observing complete silence, as if the world does not exist for you. All these symptoms exist both in yogis and those who suffer from Shrī Kṛishṇa’s separation.” Therefore, Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Oh sakhi! Tell me the truth, who are you of these two, yoginī or viyoginī?”
