shyāma kata, etika bhaye kaṭhora?

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

The pitiable condition of virahiṇī Braja-maidens in Shyāmasundara’s separation – Oh Shyāmasundara! How did You become so heartless? To You, Kishorī Jī was dearer than Your own life. Even one moment of Her separation used to appear like crores of kalpas to You. You used to declare Her foot-dust to be the life-giving herb. On Her doing māna, You used to persuade Her with folded hands, shedding tears. In the words of Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī (the gopīs lament further), “Oh Beloved! What has happened to You now? Have You forgotten all that?”
