bhaye dvai dina ke, kai hvai hāya
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
(The pitiable condition of a Braja-maiden in Shyāmasundara’s separation.) Oh sakhi! Shyāmasundara had promised to come back in a couple of days but scores of days have passed without even a clue of His return. God knows what herb that Kubjā has fed to Shyāmasundara that what to speak of coming, He did not even send a letter. We are neither able to endure the unbearable agony of the Beloved’s separation nor to give up our life. The mind tells the body to go to Mathurā but the intellect says that love will come to an end by acting against the Beloved’s wish. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī advises the gopī, “Oh sakhi! Keep your mind and intellect in Shyāmasundara’s lotus-feet and perform all worldly actions just physically. This very karmayoga will become the ideal for individual souls.”
