bali jāuṁ kapaṭa chaṭasāra kī
Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj
English meaning
The gopīs of Braja, suffering from Bhagwan Kṛishṇa’s separation, humorously abuse Bhagwan Kṛishṇa’s love and say to Uddhava, “We sacrifice ourselves at the great college of deceitfulness, where the King in the form of the head-master is none else but the leader of the cheaters, and the subjects in the form of the disciples, who are taught by him, are also the treasure-house of deceit. We offer ourselves at such kingdom wherein the family proprieties of the innocent gopīs of Braja are put on sale; and wherein, after plundering their body, mind and prana, they are taught the lessons of yoga and detachment. Blessed is that shameless King who, after taking away everything that the gopīs of Braja had, gives them the unbearable pain of separation.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī tauntingly says, “Even in such a kingdom, where stealing and plundering is done so openly, the subject of love is talked about in such a grandiose manner.”
