pirovati rādhā aṁsuvana hāra

Original pad by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj

English meaning

Shrī Rādhā is wreathing a garland of tears in separation from beloved Shyāmasundara. Like a lovelorn chātaka bird, She is continuously sighing, ‘Oh Beloved!’, ‘Oh Beloved!’, ‘Oh Life of my life!’ She has no attraction left for food, clothes, ornaments etc. Her fair-complexioned body has grown very thin in the intolerable grief of separation from Her beloved. Yearning to meet Shyāmasundara, She keeps on asking immovable and movable creatures, i.e creepers, trees, beasts, birds, etc., “Have you seen My beloved anywhere?” Sometimes, She visits the places where She had previously enjoyed love-sports with Her beloved and recalling those enrapturing moments, She, like a mad person, embraces the creepers and trees around. Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says that Kishorī Jī then loses all consciousness of Herself and falls on the ground in a swoon. Lalitā and other sakhīs try various ways to terminate Her unconsciousness.
